: Convocation Hall, 3:00pm: Concert: Johann Strauss Scholarship Award Winners: Mozarteum Reunion Concert. Reception to follow. Co-sponsored by the Wirth Institute, Johann Strauss Foundation, the UAlberta Department of Music and the Faculty of Arts. Admission is free. Donations to the Johann Strauss Endowment are encouraged.


November 28: Senate Chamber, Old Arts, 3:00pm: Lecture: “The Prince-Bishop of Salzburg and the Holy Roman Empire: Much more than a Pastor”, Joseph F. Patrouch, Department of History and Classics & Director of the Wirth Institute.


December 4: Senate Chamber, Old Arts, 2:30-4:00pm: Lecture & tour: “Mountainous Territory: Early Modern Salzburg in the History of the Alps”, Joseph F. Patrouch, Department of History and Classics & Director of the Wirth Institute. Part of the Canadian Mountain Studies “Mountain Fest 2017”. Lecture followed by special ‘Behind the Scenes’ tour of the collection at the Bruce Peel Library.


December 7: Senate Chamber, Old Arts, 3:00pm: Lecture: “Early Modern Prints and the Epistemology of the Copy”, Stephanie Leitch, Associate Professor of Art History, Florida State University.

December 10: Convocation Hall, 3:00pm: Annual Christmas Concert “Silent Night”. Admission by cash or non-perishable food item donation the Campus Food Bank.
